There is a growing awarness of the importance of traditional and indigenous knowledge and practices for adaptation. This is no gender neutral area. Have you have any example from your work in your local context of the link between gender and traditional knowledge and practices?

The UN recently send out a call for support in the preparation of a technical paper on best practices and available tools for the use of traditional and indigenous knowledge and practices and applying gender-sensitive approaches.

It is worth discussing this also amongst those working on gender in adaptation. Has anyone been working on this issue and could share some thoughts?
